Superdrol is an anabolic steroid that has a unique history compared to many anabolic steroids. Superdrol itself is simply the brand name of an over-the-counter anabolic steroid marketed by Anabolic Extreme as a prohormone or nutritional supplement. Although an anabolic steroid, the active hormone, methylandrosterone, was never listed on the US controlled substances list, and in 2005, it appeared on the shelves of most major supplement companies and was a huge success. However, due to intense pressure from the FDA, Superdrol was discontinued in 2006. While the Superdrol brand was short-lived, over-the-counter and black market methylandrosterone continued to appear around the world until mid-2012. In 2012, methylandrosterone was added to the US controlled substances list and classified as a Schedule III controlled substance along with all anabolic steroids.


Superdrol Function and Features:
Superdrol is an anabolic androgenic steroid composed of the active steroid hormone methylandrosterone. This is a dihydrotestosterone (DHT) derived anabolic steroid, more specifically a structurally altered androgen ketone. Superdrol is simply an androgen ketone with a methyl group added to the 17th carbon position, which allows the hormone to withstand oral administration and officially classifies it as a C17-alpha alkylated (C17-aa) anabolic steroid. It also adds a methyl group to the carbon 2 position, greatly increasing its anabolic power. These subtle changes also reduce the androgenicity of Superdrol compared to Masteron, which was not that androgenic to begin with.
